Former Tullett Prebon CFO moves to IG Group
Paul Mainwaring has joined IG Group as chief financial officer designate, where he replaces Mark Ward who will leave IG after a short handover
THE former chief financial officer of FTSE 250 inter-dealer broker has joined financial spread betting business IG Group in the same role.
Paul Mainwaring has joined IG Group as chief financial officer designate, where he replaces Mark Ward who will leave IG after a short handover.
Once regulatory approval is received, Mainwaring will take up the role on a permanent basis and join the board of IG, the company said.
Mainwaring qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse and, until recently, was CFO of Tullett Prebon. Mainwaring left the company in May after nearly ten years as group finance director.
Andy Green, chairman of IG, said: “After an extremely thorough search process, we are very pleased to have secured someone of Paul’s standing. His knowledge of the financial services sector and experience in several public companies means he can hit the ground running and immediately add to the operational and strategic progress at IG.”
The business has refreshed its top management team following the retirement of former CEO Toim Hawkins and the departure of former CFO Chris Hill in August last year.
