Former CFO of GE Bank’s European leveraged finance, Cristina Alba Ochoa, has been appointed CFO of OakNorth Bank, the specialist lenders to growth businesses.
Cristina replaces Nick Price, who had been Interim CFO since June last year and will join a board made up of former Barclays vice-Chairman of public policy and government relations, Cyrus Ardalan, Lord Adair Turner, and OakNorth’s co-founders, Rishi Khosla and Joel Perlman.
Cristina has over 20 years’ experience in senior management and led a team of experienced senior finance managers and analysts at GE Capital International, facilitating the management of over $100billion worth of sales across multiple jurisdictions.
Rishi Khosla, CEO and co-founder of OakNorth Bank said: “Cristina is a perfect fit for this role given her past experience as CFO for GE Bank’s $5billion European leveraged finance division.”
Cristina commented: “I’m very excited to be joining OakNorth – the bank has already proven its proposition in the UK market and established itself as a credible contender to the larger high-street banks.
“I look forward to joining the team and helping to lead the bank in its ongoing success.”
