Condé Nast Britain names new finance director

The luxury magazine publisher has announced its new financial director, after Pam Raynor announced she is leaving the company after over 18 years of service

Penny Scott-Bayfield has been named the new Finance Director of Condé Nast Britain.

Ms Scott-Bayfield will take up her new role at the beginning of 2018, replacing Pam Raynor, who will leave Condé Nast after over 18 years with the company.

Currently financial control director of Condé Nast Britain, Scott-Bayfield joined the finance team in 2004, having held senior finance roles with Sky and lastminute.com. She started her career and qualified with Deloitte.

Albert Read, Deputy Managing Director of Condé Nast Britain, said: “Penny has demonstrated her ability and effectiveness during her time as Financial Control Director, and this promotion is much deserved.

“Her previous experience and involvement in every part of the business, together with her drive and focus, mean she is well placed to continue contributing to Condé Nast’s success.”

Ms Scott-Bayfield said of the new post: “I’m thrilled to accept the role of Finance Director of Condé Nast from January 2018.

“It has been a privilege to have been involved with the business so far, and I look forward to working with Albert in maximising the tremendous opportunities ahead.”

Ms Scott-Bayfield will report to Albert Read, as well as to the Chief Operating Officer, a new position Condé Nast is currently recruiting for.

Condé Nast Britain publishes 12 print magazines, including Vogue, Tatler, GQ, Vanity Fair and Wired.
