SABMiller looking for new CFO as Wilson resigns

Jamie Wilson quits world's second-largest brewer with immediate effect, citing personal reasons

INTERNATIONAL brewer SABMiller said it has started a search for a new chief financial officer after Jamie Wilson quit the company with immediate effect, citing personal reasons.

Wilson will leave the maker of beers such as Peroni and Grolsch on 31 March at the end of the current financial year after more than a decade at the firm, the world’s second-largest brewer by sales.

Domenic De Lorenzo, currently director of group strategy, will become acting CFO with immediate effect and will report to chief executive Alan Clark. De Lorenzo assumed responsibility for group strategy last year, alongside his previous role as director of corporate finance and development.

“I am saddened by Jamie’s departure. He has been a huge support to me over many years, first in Europe and then over the past several years as CFO,” said Clark.

“His contributions to the development of our strategy, the delivery of our business capability programme, the building of our new business efficiency programme, and the strengthening of the finance functions will be a lasting legacy.”

Wilson joined the FTSE 100 beer maker in 2005 and became CFO in 2011 having been managing director for Central Europe and finance director for Europe.

SABMiller said Wilson will receive a salary of £762,200 and a car allowance worth £17,150, as well as a bonus and pension contribution.

Company shares rose 0.8% in morning trading on the London Stock Exchange.
