Riitters leaves Google for Pure Storage CFO role

Former Google European payments chief takes CFO role at enterprise storage company

A FORMER GOOGLE finance director has joined enterprise storage company Pure Storage.

Tim Riitters, who spent ten years in finance with Google, will serve as Pure Storage’s CFO.

At Google he was responsible for overseeing the company-wide annual planning and budgeting processes. Additionally, he led the finance team responsible for predicting revenue trends and increasing revenue opportunities. He also spent time overseeing the company’s European financial operations, and served as CFO of its European payments business. Previously, he held leadership positions at both Siebel Systems and Deloitte.

Pure Storage CEO Scott Dietzen described Riitters as “a world class finance professional who will add incredible experience to the business”.

“As our business reaches new levels of maturity, our financial processes must remain both sturdy and squeaky clean, so that we may without fail continue aggressively pioneering the all-flash future for enterprise storage,” Dietzen added.
