Tom Booth has resigned from his position as chief financial officer at Randall & Quilter. The resignation has caused the specialist non-life legacy insurance investor to make changes to their senior management team. Alan Quilter, the company’s group director, will be replacing Booth as group CFO, which is a role he has held in the past, while Ken Randall will continue as chairman and CEO. Speaking about Booth’s departure, Randal said: “Booth has made a significant contribution to the development of R&Q’s business and we shall miss his intelligence and energy. I wish him every success in his future career.”
Ben la Grange has resigned from his position as Steinhoff’s CFO to “focus on the preservation and procurement of liquidity in the group and to finalize the company’s audited 2017 consolidated financial statements and comparative statements.” la Grange will be replaced by Philip Dieperink. The company said: “Philip has been with the group in various CFO positions since 2001, and will remain as the CFO of Steinhoff UK.”
Luc Péligry has been appointed CFO at Europcar Group. Prior to his job at Europcar, Luc was general manager of finance & operations at Pierre Fabre Laboratoires for 6 years. He has also served as CFO at Invivo NSA and Sigmakalon France. He started his career at KPMG, Deloitte and Credit du Nord. Luc has a considerably strong background in finance and management, and Europcar Group believes that he will use his experience to support the group as it improves performance management across five business units.
Vivek Ahuja was named the group financial officer of Terra Firma on 9th January 2018. Prior to his job at Terra Firma, Ahuja was CFO at Standard Chartered.
Featurespace has hired Jonathan Crossfield as its new CFO. Prior to working at Featurespace, Crossfield spent 12 years carrying out technology equity research at Cazenove and Bank of America. He also served as a senior analyst for Merrill Lynch.
SsanYong Financial Services has recruited John Chisholm as their new director of financial services. Prior to joining SsanYong, Chisholm served as the CEO of financial services at Mitsubishi UK for 20 years. In his new role at SsanYong Financial Services, Chisholm’s responsibilities will include managing the group’s provision of financial services across Europe.
Humphrey Singer will replace Helen Weir as Marks and Spencer’s new CFO. Weir is reported to leave the company by 31 March, 2018. Prior to his role at Marks and Spencer, Singer served at Dixons Carphone as their finance director.
Alex Owen will be taking up the role of group financial officer at Aston Barclay. Owen has a wealth of experience, having worked 9 years at Cox Automotive, where she was the financial controller for 2 years. Owen will be replacing Rob Hoy.
John Crichton will also be joining the company as their commercial director and CFO. Prior to joining Aston Barclay, Crichton served at Marston Holdings as CFO.
