Condé Nast International announces new CFO

The publishing behemoth has announced the appointment of a new CFO

Condé Nast International has appointed Jason Miles to the newly-created position of chief financial officer, with immediate effect.

Miles is leaving his post as director of finance and strategy, a position he held since January 2016, to take on the new role, which will task him with oversight and responsibility for the organisation’s financial reporting, forecasting and planning activities.

He has been with Condé Nast International for the past 16 years, starting out as a financial analyst, and has previously held the role of director of planning.

The role has been created as part of a larger strategic expansion, with further new roles expected in the pipeline.

Headquartered in London, Conde Nast International is the sister company of the US-based Condé Nast, and is responsible for popular publications across 29 markets, (excluding the US). Titles include Vogue, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Brides, Self, GQ, Condé Nast Traveller/Traveler, Allure, Architectural Digest, Wired, and W among others.

The new CFO will have his work cut out for him, not only does Condé Nast International (CNI) publish 143 magazines and over 100 websites – with a reach of over 340 million consumers – the company operates a restaurant division and several ventures in education.

Jonathan Newhouse, chairman and chief executive, spoke of Miles’ “indispensable contribution” and praised his “professionalism, insight, tireless hard work and fairness.”
