FTSE 250 company Assura, the primary care premises investor and developer, has announced the appointment of a new CFO

FTSE 250 company Assura, the primary care premises investor and developer, has announced the appointment of a new CFO.

Jayne Cottam has been appointed to the role of CFO and will take up the position before the end of October this year. CEO of Assura Jonathan Murphy, who was finance director at the company until his appointment as CEO earlier this year will continue to carry out both roles in the meantime.

Cottam joins the company from Morris Homes, one of the UK’s largest private national housing developers, where she has been finance director for operations since the end of 2016, having previously held the position of finance director for the north. Prior to her roles at Morris Homes, Cottam was director of finance at European Metal Recycling Limited, where she was responsible for the Continental Europe Division.

CEO Murphy, said: “I am delighted that Jayne Cottam will be joining Assura as Chief Financial Officer. Jayne brings a wealth of relevant experience and her financial expertise will prove extremely valuable as we continue to deliver shareholder value and pursue our strategy of investing to support the UK’s primary healthcare infrastructure.”

Cottam commented: “Assura has built a strong business with many opportunities for further growth in a still-developing sector. I am very excited to be joining the Company and look forward to working with Jonathan and the team in helping to support the NHS in providing them with the buildings they need today for the NHS of the future.”

Assura joined the FTSE 250 index in December 2015. The company is based in Warrington.
