Former Barclays FC and RSA regional FD takes CFO role at renewable energy business
RSA FD Denise Cockrem is taking the CFO role at renewable electricity supplier Good Energy.
Cockrem is currently UK & Western Europe FD of listed RSA Insurance Group, which she joined in 2006. Before that she was finance director of insurer Direct Line’s retail division.
Cockrem has had a diverse career: she started out in Mazars in 1984 where she stayed for six years, leaving as a manager. From there she moved to E&Y where she worked in computer services. Cockrem then worked at Barclays Bank for six years, latterly as financial controller of coporate banking before she took up the role of head of finance at the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Having worked in practice and financial services, Cockrem moved sectors, working at at RBS Insurance – as FD of Direct Line – from 2005.
Juliet Davenport OBE, CEO of Good Energy, said the recruitment of Cockrem would help the company “deliver the next phase” of its strategy.
