Catlin CFO relocates to Zurich
CFO Neil Freshwater joins Zurich's general insurance and shared services business in the UK from Catlin
ZURICH has appointed Neil Freshwater as chief financial officer for its general insurance and shared services business in the UK.
Freshwater, who joins the global insurer on the 1 May, will report directly to Steve Lewis, CEO of UK general insurance and shared services.
He joins from Catlin Group where he was the UK CFO, having previously worked at Aviva, Swiss Re and Laurentian Life.
A fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, Freshwater has over 20 years of experience in the sector – across life, general insurance and reinsurance.
Commenting on his appointment, Lewis said: “I’m confident his skills in delivering business strategy will be of huge value to our finance function and our executive team.
That Neil is so well acquainted with the general insurance market is an added bonus – and I’m looking forward to having him on-board.”
Freshwater takes over the role previously held by John Dyke before he moved on to head up Zurich UK’s personal lines business.
