BPP picks up KPMG training contract

BPP to replace Kaplan as training provider for firm's ACAs

BPP HAS WRESTED KPMG’s training contract for ACAs from Kaplan.

BPP will deliver the Big Four firm’s ACA training programme, for 1,400 students, from autumn 2013.

Kaplan has served as KPMG’s provider for the past ten years. It will support the latest round of the firm’s trainees through to next year.

The firm said the multi-million pound contract award followed a “robust and challenging process”.

“The launch of our ground breaking School Leaver Programme in 2011 demonstrated KPMG’s ability to change the landscape of accountancy training in the UK. BPP demonstrated a similar forward thinking approach and we look forward to sharing our exciting plans with the next generation of KPMG trainees,” said Michael Walby, director of professional qualification training at KPMG.

Martin Taylor, CEO of professional qualifications at BPP, said: “KPMG’s ambition to challenge the status quo for accountancy training is shared by BPP and we look forward to a long and successful partnership over the coming years.”

KPMG’s ACA pass rates regularly exceed 90%.
