Big Four firm resigns as auditor before its term in office at coal mining and exploration company SouthGobi is due to end
DELOITTE HAS stood down as auditor of coal mining and exploration company SouthGobi before its contract is due to expire.
A statement from the company said: “Deloitte resigned on its own initiative, prior to the expiry of its terms of office.”
SouthGobi, which supplies customers in China, said that Deloitte had not expressed any reservations in its report for the two most recently completed fiscal years.
The company announced that from this month PwC would take over as auditors.
