‘Huge’ offshore demand for UK accountants
Recruiter Ardent is finding growing markets for UK-qualified accountants in Australia, Caribbean and Channel Islands
Demand in for UK-qualified accountants in offshore financial hubs such as
Australia, the Caribbean, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man is huge, according
to recruiter Ardent.
Aileen Vowden, Ardent chief operating officer, told the Recruiter
the Caribbean alone needed 500 to 600 accountants a year to fill its need.
‘Demand there and in Australia is huge,’ she said.
Accountants were also eagerly sought in Dubai, but already so many wanted to
go there, it made recruiters’ services for this market less necessary.
