In Spring 2018, Financial Director revealed the number of female CFOs in the FTSE-100 elite group of UK companies had fallen for the first time after a decade of steady growth.
In addition, research from our partner for the event, Bronzegate, shows the talent pool for female finance leadership in the FTSE-350 has not grown in the last 3 years.
Given the powerful case for diversity and inclusivity in board level decision-making, the focus of this meeting will be on creating the conditions and opportunities for higher levels of female C-suite representation.
Taking place at the Mondrian London at Sea Containers on 15th November, and including a keynote speech by Dame Helena Morrissey, founder of the 30% Club and Head of personal investment at LGIM, we will discuss:
- Why the number of top level female CFOs is modest
- Why the large number of female accountants doesn’t filter through to FDs
- The career hurdles to reaching the highest levels
- The wider cultural and lifestyle challenges
- The need for a joined-up approach between employers and other sponsors
- The need for more flexibility in career development.
