LONDON OFFICE SPACE
Increased demand has reduced the availability of office space in London over the last three or four years. An increasing number of offices are being built on a speculative basis, to capitalize on the upturn in activity, especially in City-related financial services. But so far in this cycle banks have remained wary of lending to developers for such schemes after their expensive experiences in the last boom/bust cycle of the late 80s/early 90s.
