Everton appoints Martyn Hawkins as Chief Financial Officer

Everton has appointed Martyn Hawkins as Chief Financial Officer. The former City Football Group finance leader will oversee the club’s financial operations and report to CEO Angus Kinnear.

Everton Football Club has appointed Martyn Hawkins as its new Chief Financial Officer, bringing seasoned financial leadership to the Premier League side at a time of heightened scrutiny over football finance.

A chartered accountant with over two decades of experience in sports finance, Hawkins began his career at Deloitte, where he served as a senior consultant in the firm’s Sports Business Group. He later joined Manchester City and City Football Group (CFG), where he spent 12 years in senior roles, including Interim Group CFO, Group Finance Director, and Club Finance Director.

Hawkins most recently led Caerulea Sports Advisory, a consultancy working across the football industry.

Reporting directly to Chief Executive Angus Kinnear, Hawkins will oversee Everton’s financial operations and play a central role in advancing the board’s long-term financial vision.
