ICAEW launches new strategy program to support ESG and sustainable finance
Chartered accountancy body ICAEW and Cambridge Judge Business School Executive Education have announced the launch of a sustainability programme for finance professionals.
The four-day ESG and Sustainability Strategy for Finance Leaders and Practitioners Programme is a face-to-face initiative that will equip participants with the knowledge and tools to integrate sustainability into their organisations’ strategies and operations.
“We’re proud to have supported the Judge Business School in the development of this new programme, which will help finance professionals embed ESG and sustainability further into their organisations,” says Richard Spencer, ICAEW Sustainability Director.
“Chartered Accountants are in a unique position to champion sustainability, as they are found working across the economy in businesses and finance, as well as the public and third sectors. This programme will be an invaluable addition to their toolkit for dealing with the challenges of sustainability.”
Cambridge Judge Business School Executive Education is a part of Cambridge Judge Business School. The Executive Education programmes are designed for organisations, business professionals, managers, leaders, and executives from various functions who seek professional and personal growth.
These programmes are developed to help executives and organisations from both the private and public sectors achieve operational excellence and business results. Cambridge Judge Business School Executive Education is now a certified B Corporation, demonstrating its commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
Covering climate and sustainability; the information ecosystem; sustainable finance and leadership, it will run from 30 September to 3 October.
The programme has been designed for board members, chief financial officers and partners, to boost their knowledge about ESG and provide skills to embed it across their organisations. It will use expert discussions and interactive sessions to explore the evolving role of business in driving sustainability-related innovation, and provide networking opportunities for delegates.
“Finance leaders play a crucial role in the development and execution of strategies that incorporate ESG and Sustainability to create long-term value and strengthen organisational and global resilience. The programme is designed to enable leaders to rise to this challenge,” says Michael Willis, Cambridge Judge Business School Management Practice Associate Professor.
