EBay CEO Wenig Steps Down, Finance Head Takes Over as Interim Chief

Multinational e-commerce corporation eBay has announced that its chief executive officer Devin Wenig will be stepping down and will be replaced by finance head Scott Schenkel on an interim basis. Wenig will be resigning after serving the company for more than four years. The company has already undertaken a search for the next CEO.

Solo Oil Appoints New Finance, Operations Heads

Solo Oil, and investment company that deals with the exploration, development and production oil and gas assets has appointed Romina Mele-Cornish as the new chief financial officer and Doug Rycroft as the new chief operating officer. Mele-Cornish joins the company from industry lobby group Oil & Gas UK where she was the fiscal policy manager. Rycroft was the general manager of Solo since March 2019.

PPF Finance Chief Exits Amid Board Reshuffle

The statutory fund of the Board of the Pension Protection Fund has announced the departure of its chief financial officer Andy McKinnon. McKinnon has served the organization for seven years and was named the interim CEO for a certain period last year following the departure of Alan Rubenstein in 2017. Prior to joining PPF, McKinnon had an 11-year tenure at Legal & General where he held a number of retail investment and finance roles. He has also worked at JP Morgan Asset Management and Swiss Re.

Aldermore Appoints Claire Cordell As CFO

Aldermore Bank – a retail bank which provides financial services to small and medium-sized businesses – has appointed former director of finance Claire Cordell as chief financial officer. Prior to joining Aldermore in 2014, Cordell held senior finance roles at RSA Insurance Group and Credit Suisse Group. She will be replacing James Mack who is joining Barclays Bank UK.

Lyndsey Shaw joins Brown Butler as Corporate Finance Director

Chartered accountancy firm Brown Butler has appointed Lyndsey Shaw as the new corporate finance director. Shaw was a partner at Sterling Corporate Finance and has experience as lead advisor on disposals, acquisition, MBOs and joint ventures. Commenting on the appointment, James White, director at Brown Butler, said: “We are thrilled to add someone of Lyndsey’s calibre and reputation to our growing team. It’s been a busy centenary year for the practice, and this appointment takes our total number of directors to 17.”

Qantas CFO Race Strauss To Join A2 Milk as CFO

A2 Milk, a company that commercializes intellectual property relating to A1 protein-free has announced the appointment of Race Strauss as the chief financial officer. Previously, Strauss served as CFO at Jetstar for five years and most recently served as the CFO of Qantas Airlines, a division of the Qantas Group. He also spent more than 20 years at Unilever where he held a number of senior roles including senior finance and strategy roles. Speaking about his replacement, CFO Craig Louttit said: “Race will be a great addition to the team. I am looking forward to working closely with Race as we continue to develop our thinking and execution as a company firmly focused on its next stage of growth.”

Triad Group Finance Director Nick Burrows To Step Down

IT services company Triad Group has announced that its finance director Nick Burrows will be resigning from his position citing personal reasons. Burrows had been part of the company for 18 years and will continue to serve the organization as a director and company secretary until March 2020.

Homeserve Appoints Nick Kasmir to Divisional CFO

Home emergency repairs business HomeServe has appointed Nick Kasmir as chief financial officer for its UK home repairs and insurance division. Kasmir had joined the company as head of marketing planning in 2013. He had been serving as the interim chief financial officer since January. Previously, Kasmir has held finance roles at Bank of America’s MBNA card division, Vodafone and Ford Motor Company. About the appointment, HomeServe UK chief executive, Greg Reed, said: “Nick has made a huge impact with the company over the last six years and this appointment is worthy recognition of his achievements. I’m delighted to have Nick alongside me on the senior leadership team at HomeServe UK.”
