Agriculture specialist NWF Group names new FD

A NEW financial director has been announced at agricultural foods specialist NWF Group.

Christopher Belsham will be taking up his new role in June 2017. He will work closely with the divisional and central finance teams as well as supporting the board in delivering the group’s strategic goals.

AIM-listed NWF is a specialist agricultural and distribution business delivering feed, food and fuel across the UK.

Before his appointment to NWF, Belsham worked in corporate finance at KPMG where he spent 15 years working on a broad range of deals for both public and private companies across the UK.

In 2014, Chris joined law firm Irwin Mitchell as head of corporate finance, responsible for leading on strategic acquisitions for the business.

NWF CEO Richard Whiting said: “I am delighted that Chris will be joining us. He is someone I have worked with previously in his advisory capacity and I look forward to his excellent knowledge and expertise benefitting the group going forward.”

In December, the group reported lower than expected trading figures following a weaker first quarter, but said the board maintained its full year expectations in terms of performance and net debt levels.
