GlaxoSmithKline CFO Simon Dingemans elected chairman of 100 Group
THE finance director of pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has been elected chairman of the highly influential Hundred Group of Finance Directors.
Simon Dingemans, the CFO of GSK since 2011, is replacing former chairman of Robin Freestone, the group of FTSE 100 finance directors said.
Freestone, who announced he was stepping down as CFO of Pearson Group in October, will remain as deputy chairman to support Dingemans.
Dingemans said: “I’d like to start in my new role as chairman by thanking Robin for his leadership over the last two years. I’m committed to carrying on his great work and making sure we continue to play a role in helping shape the Business landscape in Britain for the better.”
