EXTRAORDINARY ITEMS - Rowley paid a Kingfisher's ransom.

With a business as large as Kingfisher, it’s no surprise that its FD should be one of the best-paid in the FTSE-100. So take a bow, Philip Rowley, whose all-in £515,000 package last year propels him to the higher echelons of the Financial Director annual reports & accounts FD pay ranking. It’s a particularly good performance given that Rowley only joined the company in August – half-way through the retail giant’s financial year. Of course, £190,000 of his wages envelope was made up of “relocation costs and allowances”. But that still leaves £155,000 in basic pay and a bonus of £136,000. Annualise that lot and Rowley’s looking at about £650,000 – a top ten performance, in our league table!
