EXTRA ORDINARY ITEMS - Dresdner, Deutsche, it's all Greek,
We left our beach towels on the wrong deckchairs last month. We described Lord (Peter) Walker as chairman of Deutsche Bank in London when we ought to have more accurately said that he is chairman of Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. Moreover, at the time of our UK plc board meeting, chaired by Kingfisher chairman Sir John Banham, Walker’s firm was busy advising Wal-Mart – and not, as we said, Asda – in the merger deal that would end up spoiling the proposed nuptials with Kingfisher. Apologies all round. The heat’s obviously been getting to us. ?:
