Amoco’s CFO, John Carl, recently told sister title Accountancy Age that he intends to leave. BP’s post-merger market value will soar from £50bn to £80bn, overtaking Glaxo Wellcome at £67bn, whose FD John Coombe is a chartered accountant and a fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
