The New York Stock Exchange was so deliriously happy that German accounting software group SAP has decided to list its shares on the “Main Board” rather than the flashy young upstart Nasdaq exchange, that it threw a day-long beach party – right outside the exchange. Broad Street was decked out with sand and palm trees to create a real beach party scene. Neither the FT nor The Wall Street Journal Europe could find any connection between SAP – the second-largest IT stock on Wall Street after Nasdaq-listed Microsoft – and a beach. Might it have something to do with beach towels and deck chairs? ?:
