Extraordinary items - The euro: it's as easy as 3.1416
These diagrams have a lot to do with the euro, but nothing to do with triangulation. In recent days, the $/E rate has been around $1.1550, the reciprocal of which is about 0.866. Remember your high school trigonometry?
That figure is the cosine of 30 deg – that’s Oa on the top drawing. Meanwhile, the recent E/# rate of E1.41 is uncannily close to the square root of 2, the length of the hypotenuse of the right-angled isosceles triangle (de). Is Pythagorus a forex dealer?
