Reality bytes at Britain's Virtual Group
High-tech fantasies have once again come unstuck with the suspension of the shares of Virtuality Group. This British version of those amazingly successful US garage start-ups seemed to be heading into orbit not so long ago, thanks to the success of its “virtual reality” three-dimensional computer image technology.
Sadly, financial reality overtook virtuality at the beginning of February.
Sales have plummeted. Cash flow is in crisis. The shares may never be traded again. If only finance could be virtual, too.
