US president Donald Trump has backed Boris Johnson for Tory leadership and said Nigel Farage should be involved in the government’s Brexit negotiations and the UK should be prepared to leave the EU with no deal.

But Labour opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn said  Trump’s comments endorsing Conservative front-runner Boris Johnson as the next prime minister were an “unacceptable interference” in Britain’s affairs.
