The decision of Amazon to raise its minimum wage for British and American workers, is a major milestone for campaigners pushing for pay increases to tackle rising levels of poverty and inequality, increasing  the US minimum wage to $15 (£11.57) an hour for more than 350,000 workers

It would appear that the tech giant has recognised the force of the argument from the other side- but most importantly it is recognising the need to put humans at the heart of its strategy.
