MPs voted overwhelmingly to seek a delay in Britain’s exit from the European Union, setting the stage for Prime Minister Theresa May to renew efforts to get her divorce deal approved by parliament next week.
A vote in Parliament to seek a delay to Brexit could only be “a stay of execution”, according to business group the CBI. The British Chambers of Commerce said the vote “leaves firms with no real clarity on the future.”
