Today’s agenda will be dominated by Theresa May attempting to sell her Brexit withdrawal deal  as cabinet minister Michael Gove is understood to be considering quitting.

Reports suggested Gove had rejected the PM’s offer to make him Brexit secretary, because she would not let him renegotiate the deal. Dominic Raab quit the role on Thursday over “fatal flaws” in the agreement.

Yesterday the pound 1.7% against the dollar and 1.9% against the euro and shares in some companies dropped sharply-Royal Bank of Scotland sank 9%, with 7% falls for Persimmon, Taylor Wimpey and Barratt Developments.
