Airline's finance director is set for a 43% pay rise when he becomes chief executive
(Accountancy Age) New British Airways chief executive Keith Williams will see his pay rise to £630,000, from his current pay of £440,000 as chief financial officer.
Williams will take over from Willie Walsh, who is moving up to head the merged BA/Iberia group.
Williams has been set a maximum bonus of 150 percent of his salary, or £945,000. Half of the value of any bonus will be deferred and awarded in shares after three years under its bonus plan.
A previous BA treasurer, Williams was appointed CFO in 2006. He is also a non-executive director of transport for London, and Iberia.
