PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Edward Klempka, one of the receivers, said he is ‘cautiously optimistic’ about selling the company as a going concern, the Guardian reported today.
PwC is reported to have received two inquiries yesterday ? adding to two approaches made to Cammell before the Merseyside shipbuilder entered receivership.
Cammell Laird called in receivers on Wednesday following a series of cancelled orders. More than 3,000 jobs are now thought to be under threat.
